We have been asked to take part in a local history project as part of a housing development at Burnell Park in Haddington. We have been given 20 airfix kits and the aim is that Knox pupils will make the planes and paint them. The completed planes will then be tied to a tree next to a plaque commemorating a WW2 fighter plane pilot who died near the development. If you are interested in taking part and making/painting your own plane, please see Miss Anderson or Miss McPhee.

The Knox Matches vs RH will be incorporated into the Haddington Hockey Festival this Saturday, 1 October, at the Aubigny Sports Centre. All players are invited to stay around after the last school game. The Ladies and Juniors are organising mixed hockey games. There will be a BBQ, bacon rolls, tea/coffee and home baking available. The Haddingotn Hockey Festival is likely to go on until 1.30pm or so.

Mechanical Apprentice - Building Services Engineering
4 year apprenticeship within an Edinburgh based Mechanical and Electrical Consulting Engineers practice. Roles will include learning and implementing the design of Mechanical Building Services including CAD, Building Information Modelling (BIM), thermal modelling, design calculations, general administration and report writing.
The successful candidate will be expected to attend further part time education initally comprising an HNC. On successful completion consideration will be given for further part time education comprising BSc/BEng depending on HNC results. All further education courses are currently based on a day release basis and will be funded by the Employer.

East Lothian Council is in the process of developing a new Anti-Bullying Policy in line with the Scottish Government's national approach to anti-bullying for Scotland's children and young people.
Bullying is defined as 'a mixture of behaviours which can impact on a person's capacity to feel in control of themselves. This is what we term as their sense of 'agency'. Bullying takes place in the context of relationships; it is behaviour that can make people feel hurt, threatened, frightened and left out' .

Our u18 rugby squad through its partnership with Haddington RFC, is planning a tour in February 2017. The tour is open to all boys who will be 16 or over by 18th February 2017. If you haven't played rugby before, or have stopped playing and are keen to start playing again, then we encourage you to come along to training. There is still plenty of time ahead of the tour to get you into shape to play.

If you have been having difficulties connecting to the school WiFi (CLN) network please follow the step below to resolve. There was an issue with a mis-configured network device which has now been resolved.
In the WiFi settings for your device, choose the option to 'forget' the CLN network - then re-establish the connection. This should then present the authentication page as usual.
Remember that to connect you will require your PIN code which can be found in an email sent from the East Lothian IT ServiceDesk to your Edubuzz email account (when the WiFi was first made available).
If you are in S1 and you applied for lessons on guitar, piano or chanter, you will be asked to attend a short audition with one of our instrumental instructors. All audition times are posted on the Music Department notice board, and in your Music teacher's classroom. Please speak to Miss Orr or Mr Johnston if you are unsure about your audition time.
