S6 pupils who are eligible for LEAPS should go to the Library Period 3 TODAY.  Please register with your Class teacher first and then make your way to the Library.

The 3rd payment of £125 for the London Trip is due on Monday 1st February. This should be given to Mr McFarlane or Mr Redford. If there are any issues wth making the payment please see either teacher.

There will also be a meeting in Mr McFalane's room at break time on Tuesday for all those attending the trip.

Looking forward to seeing more of you at The Jericho on Saturday nights.  This coming Saturday – 30th January - starting at 7.15pm in the Bridge Centre coffee bar we will be designing and painting jute bags.  Also on offer this week will be hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows together with free snacks.  Come and test you skills at our new games - FIFA 16 & Minecraft on the XBOX and Playstation.  See you Saturday.

Amey are currently offering Civil Engineering employment opportunities for individuals looking to combine progressing academic studies whilst launching a professional career. Not only it is a real alternative to going to university full time but they will be working alongside technical specialists gaining practical work experience, whilst earning a salary. Individuals will work in a team, getting to know how the business works. As well as practical work experience, they will get a variety of training, including studying at a local University on a day release basis. They will also have the opportunity to participate on The Duke of Edinburgh’s (DofE) Gold Award.

A new cinema is starting up in Haddington.  The first Big Screen Movie Day will be on Sunday 31 January at the Corn Exchange, where 3 movies will be shown: Snoopy and Charlie Brown, The Lady in the Van and Star Wars. 

They are looking for volunteers to help on the door, collecting money and selling refreshments.  If you are interested in volunteering, please see Mr Flood.

All pupils across the school are monitored for punctuality and attendance. It is your responsibility to arrive to school on time and ready to participate in lessons, including registration. Members of the Management Team will be on duty at the front door and will take names of pupils who are late up to and including the bell for start of Period 1. After that the On Call Manager will make a note of pupils who are late. If you are late on three or more occasions Thursday -Thursday you will be required to complete a detention at lunchtime on Thursday. Save yourself the trouble and get to school on time! Mrs Ingham

Not been to ‘The Jericho’ on a Saturday night yet?  Why not give it a try? Any S2 or S3 pupil who is trying to organise an event for Activities Week should ensure that they have the names of at least 10 interested pupils from either year. If they have such a list they should then approach a member of staff by the end of the day on Wednesday at the latest to ask if they will agree to oversee their activity.

Applications for Sky's 2016 Technology Apprenticeship opportunities are open. Sky are looking for candidates who have a keen interest in technology and are thinking about alternatives to university. As well as earning a real wage, the candidates will gain a nationally recognised qualification (Level 4) while working alongside acclaimed professionals in the field. Sky have apprenticeship opportunities in Operations Engineering, which sits within their technology departments. As an Operations Engineering Apprentice, candidates will experience the full breadth of work that goes into giving Sky's customers and employees a seamless service, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. With a two year training programme the candidates will have the opportunity to rotate around several different departments, allowing them to gain full exposure within the teams.
