The EL Swim Gala on Thursday has been canceled due to other schools not being able to field teams.

All swimmers should now attend classes as usual on Thursday.

Many thanks to Andrew McKnight for his efforts in getting a strong Knox team together. We hope that the event may run some time in 2018

The Eco-Committee is running a clothing collection over the next 2 weeks (November 6 - 17). We are looking for clothing donations to go Rock Trust, a charity that supports young people who are homeless or at risk of being homeless. By donating old clothes that you don't wear anymore or that don't fit you anymore, you are not only diverting clothes from going to landfills, you are helping people in need.

Rock Trust also requires donations of toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, soap, deodorant, etc.) and foods that don't need to be cooked (cup-a-soups, cereal, biscuits, crisps, crackers, cereal bars). Anything you can bring in would be a HUGE help to young people in need. Please bring your clothing, food and toiletries donations to Miss Laudi's room, preferably during registration. She has a collection box ready. Your donations are really appreciated!

Engineering the Future for Girls is being delivered in collaboration with BP and BAM Nuttall and is designed to engage girls in a wide range of engineering challenges that will inspire them to become the next generation of engineers. The summer school is fully-funded by BP and BAM Nuttall and student costs, including a contribution towards travel, will be covered. Strathclyde will accept applications from girls with any range of subject choices at National 5.

The summer school is non-residential and therefore pupils should be able to make their way each day to the University of Strathclyde campus in the heart of Glasgow City Centre. Teachers are not required to accompany pupils during the week.

Pupils should apply at http://www.strath.ac.uk/engineering/outreach/engineeringthefutureforgirls using the online application form. The deadline for applications is 3 December 2017. A confirmation email is sent upon receipt of application. The selection panel will meet in January to review the applications received and all applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application by 31 January 2018. An automated email is sent to teachers informing them of the application submitted and requesting a supporting statement. The supporting statement for each student should be submitted online using a designated link by 15 December 2017, for the application to be considered.
