All 70 pupils attending the theatre trip to see Alice in Wonderland on Wednesday 7th Dec must first register with their regi teacher then be on the bus by 9am. Check the list of names for your name if you missed the meeting or see Miss Whitfield as soon as possible. All pupils must be in full uniform!

WELL DONE to everyone involved in the great 1st ever ACTIVE GIRLS DAY on Friday! Many thanks also to those people that came along and supported the event on the day.

The organisation was spot on and it should be noted that this was led by our 2 Young Ambassadors Anya Wyllie and Rhys Dickson. They selected and co-ordinated over 40 volunteers from various Leadership Groups including the Sports Council, CSLA Class and the SKY Sports Ambassadors.

There were many aspects of the morning which we feel contributed to its success :
• The mix of activities
• no pressure on the Girls to be seen to PERFORM. Sessions had a relaxed and inviting approach.
• Most of the Girls had a positive approach to participating in the morning and seemed to enjoy the sessions.
• The "feedback café" threw up some interesting and insighfull information…
• The senior pupils who had organised and were involved in running the morning were FAB! They did an immense job of trying to inspire/ motivate/ share some knowledge. This was certainly wasn't an easy task but everyone stepped up and took charge.

The Debating club will meet Wednesday 23rd November at lunch time in Mr Raphael's room (M.4). New members very welcome. Hope to see you there :)

The next Eco-Committee Meeting will be held on Tuesday 29 November at 1:20pm in Miss Laudi's room. We will be agreeing on a full action plan as well as a timeline so all members are asked to attend. New members always welcome.

All pupils in S2 will already be aware that this coming week w/c 21 November 2016 that their group is giving their presentation about their suggested new product for Coca-Cola.  

All groups must be prepared in advance, this includes having practiced their presentation and ideally the preparation of cue cards/script.  Business Education rooms are available before school, at break, at lunch and after-school in order that any additional support can be provided.

We look forward to some inspirational ideas and excellent presentations. 

All consent forms are now in for the Girls into Physics trip next Thursday 24th to PL. Please could all ladies attending have the £5 in to Mrs Campbell by the end of the day next Tuesday. We will be leaving at 9am on Thursday so please come straight to Physics 1.9 straight after you have registered with your Regi teacher in the morning. We will be back in school by 3.30pm.

Lunch will be provided, however if there are any girls with special dietary requirements please can you let Mrs Campbell know ASAP.

The interviewers will be Janette Horsburgh (HR Manager, ELC), Samantha Lamond (Morrison Construction), Max Sykes (Canon), John McMillan (Councillor), Ross Prentice (Prentice Coaches)

They will be giving up their time to conduct the interviews on Friday morning and the expectation is that everyone on the list attends.  Any concerns, please see Mr Flood.

Can all S4 pupils who were apart of the SKY Sport Leadership team last year please meet with Mr Elms in the PE classroom today (Wednesday) at lunch time (1.40 onwards). This meeting is important and I hope you attend.

On Friday the S6 will dress up for Children in Need, and S1 to S3 girls participating in the "Active Girls' Day" are allowed to wear PE kit for the day. Other than that, everyone else is expected to be in Dress Code. Mrs Ingham

Yoga takes place Wednesday Lunchtime at 1.25pm. You're welcome to meet for lunch in the PE classroom at 1pm. Come along to relax, stretch, strengthen your body and learn about the purpose of yoga.

If you have booked a place on the football trip to watch Manchester United vs Arsenal this Saturday 19th November and have paid, can you make your way down to the PE department at some point today (Tuesday 15th) for a conformation letter.  If you are due to go and have not handed the money/PC1 form in, YOU MUST see Mr MacDonald at break time.

The Eco-Committee will be meeting again on Tuesday 15 November at 1:30 in Miss Laudi's room. All are welcome! 

Congratulations to everyone that took part in last week’s S1-S4 Inter House Badminton Event. The event was run by our Community Sports Leaders (CSLA) Class and saw more than 100 people take part over 3 days of lunchtime competition.

This was the 1st in a series of Sporting, Inter House Competitions. It has proved a HUGE success and will be followed by Inter House Table Tennis. Keep an eye on the PE Notice Boards for more info...!

You don’t have to be a professional athlete to gain points for Your House… in fact YOU earn points by simply taking part. Just come down with your mates and get involved and earn YOUR House Points!!!
