Are you interested in the work of the United Nations? Are you interested in debating? Edinburgh University are running a introductory Model-UN conference on Saturday 15th October which Knox pupils are invited to. This would be particularly beneficial to Modern Studies or RMPS students but is open to everyone. It would also be a great thing to put on your CV or UCAS application. THE JERICHO re-opens this coming Saturday night at 7.15pm in The Bridge Centre for all 12 – 16 years olds. We look forward to welcoming some of the new S1’s, but you must have had your 12th birthday. This week all the usual things will be on offer – free snacks – playstation, Xbox, pool, table tennis and lots more. At the craft table we will be making personalised key rings. In September 2016 a Police Scotland Youth Volunteer group will be launched in East Lothian. It will be based in Musselburgh on a Tuesday evening. The group will learn new skills relating to volunteering and policing, which will in turn assist and prepare them for volunteering at local and national events.

The aims of the PSYV are to encourage the spirit of adventure and good citizenship, inspire young people to participate positively in their communities, promote a practical understanding of policing amongst young people, and support local policing priorities through volunteering and giving young people a chance to be heard.

We are looking for pupils S1-S6 that love sport and Physical Activity and are committed to making KNOX SPORT GREAT. We have 12 Sports Council places up for grabs this year for S1-S6 Pupils and 2 Young Ambassador places for S4-S6 Pupils. If you are successful you will be the pupils voice in shaping what Activities we do at School and be involved in the creation and running of all Sporting Events at school.
