Any S6 pupils that signed up to do some Classroom Support at the Volunteers Fayre on Friday 8th September should contact the class teacher ASAP in order that they can start supporting the chosen classes over the next week.

The 3rd annual Volunteering Fayre will take place today. Arrangements are as follows:
Period 1 - speakers in Assembly Hall. S5/6 - 9.00 am; S4 - 9.25 am
Periods 2 and 3- Fayre takes place in the Social Area. Period 2 - S5/6; Period 3 - S3/4. Your teacher will accompany you to the Social Area at the allocated time.

The PSYV East Lothian group is recruiting now for new members and is looking for youths aged 13-15.
What we do:
Youth volunteers are mentored through a training programme (which includes activities, team building, fun sessions, guest speakers) that provides a practical understanding of policing and opportunities to participate positively within the community. By volunteering within the community, volunteer awards can be achieved.
Examples of volunteer work and events that the group could be involved in are:
- Locally - gala days, air shows, fun runs, issuing crime prevention advice, fundraising.
- Nationally - Edinburgh Tattoo, marathon events, PSYV competitions.
Where & when:
Tuesday evenings, 1900-2100 hours, Musselburgh

A reminder to S1 pupils that if they wish to come on the trip to the Scottish Parliament they should hand in their consent forms to Miss Bulloch in M.4 at Registration or Interval on Monday. If any pupil did not receive a letter and would like to come they can collect a letter from their Modern Studies teacher.
S6 Environment Committee interviews will be held in Miss Laudi's room on Monday 11 September at 1:30pm. All candidates have been sent an email via Edubuzz inviting them to attend. If you are unable to attend on Monday, please let Miss Laudi know.
