REMEMBRANCE DAY

Pupils in S2 were recently asked to produce a piece of work on the theme of "Remembrance". The work produced was very impressive and included powerpoints, poetry and film. This video showcases some of the best work.

On the eleventh November eleven o'clock,
The whole of Great Britain shall come to a stop,
Everybody at once will stay silent and still,
Take two minutes to think of those who have been killed.
They fought hard for their own life and hard for our lives,
They left all their families, their children and wives,
They did this not for them but for us to live well,
And we all should respect and remember who fell.

Kirsty Barr (S2)

Poppies, poppies blowing in the wind,
remembering those who died fighting.
Around the world a moment of silence,
Friends and family reuniting.

November the 11th is the day to remember,
Wear your poppies to show your support,
Stop and think at 11am,
The boats that didn't come back to port.

Men and Women fought in war
We will think of them every year
They risked their life for their country
As their family shed a tear.
