IMPORTANT NOTES TO PUPILS
EXAMINATIONS 2012
- When you return to school after the Easter break you will be issued with your own personal timetable which will show your seat number and the room to report to for your examination.

S4 commences 25 April 2012, pupils return to school 5 June 2012
S5/6 commences 9 May 2012, S5 pupils return to school 5 June 2012 - Highlight NOW or underline all of your exams on the school examination timetable. If you are not sure whether you will be sitting Foundation/General/Credit levels, check NOW with your subject teachers. Where there is more than one sitting of exams (eg Art & Design) check which group you will be in for the exam.
- When attending for examinations during the period of study leave, pupils should wear normal school dress code for reasons of school security.
- Make sure that you arrive at the exam room in good time and equipped with writingmaterials/calculators/French dictionaries (where appropriate). School bags and books (other than French dictionaries) may NOT be taken into the hall and should be left in lockers.
- Mobile phones and other electronic devices should not be brought into school as they are not permitted in the examination rooms under any circumstances even if they are switched off. If they are brought into school they must be left securely in lockers.
- If you are ill during the examination period and cannot attend for any examination, your parent/carer must telephone the school on the morning of the examination. A doctor’s certificate will be required for absentee consideration by the SQA. In the event of you becoming ill during an examination, you should advise a member of the invigilation staff.
- Invigilation will be undertaken by SQA Invigilators. You must carry out their instructions as directed as poor conduct may result in the forfeit of the examination and your parents will be contacted.
