All the Activities Week residential trips returned safely and pupils and staff have reported that the trips were ‘amazing’ and the conduct of the pupils a real credit to themselves and the school. Well done to all involved and a very big thank you to all staff who took part and organised the trips. Details of all the Activities Week events and trips will be available on the website. To confirm what good ambassadors for the school (and Scotland) the pupils are, I have received the following email:

‘I believe your school were on an Amsterdam trip last week. My daughter was playing for the British School of Amsterdam in the beach football tournament in Dam Square. I believe it was pupils from your school that noticed their British connection and promptly cheered them all the way to a 3rd place play-off win! The kids were really happy to have "home" support for a change when often they are treated as outsiders. Your pupils brightened up a dreich day with their Scottish wit, repartee and enthusiasm.
Please pass on our appreciation.’

Ms Orr, Mrs Slowther and Ms Waters returned safely after a wonderful trip to our partner schools in Rwanda. I will be meeting with them to hear all about the trip and details will be available on the website.

On Wednesday we welcomed back to school the S4 and S5 pupils who have just completed their SQA examinations. Yesterday and today, have been Induction Sessions for the pupils and they will begin their senior courses on Monday.

Best wishes.
