The recently installed Connected Learning Network will go live with S1-3 from tomorrow. All pupils should by then have access to their pin codes to access the wifi network. This will come via an email through their Edubuzz Account.  The school is encouraging a "devices out, face down policy" within classrooms, following instructions from their teachers. Pupils will then be able to access the network from their desk, just like a textbook resource.

To try and make this simpler for all involved the school has invested in AirHead. This is an IT platform that can be accessed via the CLN and desktop computers. You can check this out, by using the link on the school website (left handside - blue icon). Pupils need to sign in to their Edubuzz account to access (for any difficulties with this see Mr McSwan, Mr Homer or Mr Dempster who will be happy to assist). Regardless of the device, students will see the same launchpad for the school, with twitter feeds, a calendar and the school notices, as well as access to subject specific resources.

Pupils who are currently studying for SQA examinations will find information available on the SQA's Your Exams 2016 website useful.

You can build a personal exam timetable directly on the SQA website or download the 2016 SQA Exam Timetable (PDF) or in an editable format (Excel).  The SQA allows schools to change the start times of exams slightly (if necessary), so you should double-check the times of your examinations with your teachers.

Pupils may also be interested in signing up for the MySQA service which is your direct link with SQA. It lets you view your qualification information, check the personal details we hold for you and if you're sitting exams you can get your results sent by email and text message.

As you may be aware, Knox Academy now has a new Wifi network, which pupils, staff and visitors can access to aid and support their learning. This Connected Learning Network has been set up to allow pupils, staff and guests to bring their own device to school. This may be a smart phone, tablet or laptop to help them access on line resources and tools to transform the learning environment. It is now the expectation of Education Scotland that learners have access to and effectively use digital technology in the classroom to enhance learning. The school believes this network will effectively support this expectation.

Further informaiton can be found regarding launch of the network in these documents:
