From wide consultation with members of the school community, it is clear that Ambition, Respect and Community really matter to us here at Knox Academy.

***   AMBITION   ***   RESPECT   ***   COMMUNITY   ***

We have been talking about these values in assemblies, registration classes, lessons and in the wider school. Pupils have been thinking about what the values really mean to them as they go about their daily business in school.

The coursing days for S2 pupils are on Wednesday 7 March and Thursday 8 March 2018.  Pupils were issued with coursing appointment letters at registration on Monday 5 March.  Apologies for the late distribution of these letters, we did intend to issue them earlier however the closure of the school for snow delayed this.

The following resources are now available on the school website under Course Choice:

  • S3 Course Choice Booklet
  • S3 Course Choice Form
  • Catalogue of Alternative Courses

If you have any questions, please contact your child's Guidance Teacher.

All East Lothian Council schools will re-open on Monday 5 March 2018 after being closed due to the adverse weather between Wednesday 28 February 2018 and Friday 2 March 2018.

Transport providers will contact parents/carers directly if there are any issues collecting pupils from more isolated rural areas (outwith towns and villages) due to road conditions

There has been a huge amount of effort by East Lothian Council teams to clear snow from pathways – thanks to parents and residents for their assistance with this. Please be aware of surface conditions given the low temperature. Ensure children walking to school have appropriate footwear and are dressed to the conditions. In the interests of the safety, children and young people should go straight into the school building on arrival.

Please keep up-to-date using the following methods for any future School Closure news:
