The PSYV East Lothian group is recruiting now for new members and is looking for youths aged 13-15.

What we do:
Youth volunteers are mentored through a training programme (which includes activities, team building, fun sessions, guest speakers) that provides a practical understanding of policing and opportunities to participate positively within the community. By volunteering within the community, volunteer awards can be achieved.

Examples of volunteer work and events that the group could be involved in are:

  • Locally - gala days, air shows, fun runs, issuing crime prevention advice, fundraising.
  • Nationally - Edinburgh Tattoo, marathon events, PSYV competitions.

Where & when:
Tuesday evenings, 1900-2100 hours, Musselburgh

If this sounds of interest to you, and you are aged 13-15 (or just turned 16), further information can be found on the Police Scotland website.

SQA provides a Return of External Assessment Materials service to return non-exam materials to you upon request. They understand that the coursework sent by Knox Academy as part of your course assessment might be of special value to you and your recordings, artwork or written pieces might not be easy to re-create.

For further details of how to request return of your materials visit the SQA Website - there is a charge from the SQA for this service.

Pupils who are currently studying for SQA examinations will find information available on the SQA's Your Exams 2018 website useful.

Information on Study Leave for May 2018 is now available.

You can build a personal exam timetable directly on the SQA website or download the 2018 SQA Exam Timetable (PDF).  The SQA allows schools to change the start times of exams slightly (if necessary), so you should double-check the times of your examinations with your teachers closer to the examination date.

Pupils may also be interested in signing up for the MySQA service which is your direct link with SQA. It lets you view your qualification information, check the personal details the SQA hold for you and if you're sitting exams you can get your results sent by email and text message.

Guidance on Coursework is also provided, including information on how to have your coursework materials returned to you from a previous examination diet.
