If you are having a spring clean and want to get rid of some old video game equipment, why not donate it to the school Computing Department?

This would be greatly appreciated and would contribute to the new Computer Games Development course.

Thanks in advance.

The Knox Academy Support Group (KASG) organises social/fundraising events for parents, staff and pupils. The money raised pays for equipment around the school that will enhance each pupil's education. For more information click here.

We have two upcoming events that we need your support with.

Duck Derby

The Duck Derby is at Ball Alley on Wednesday 4th June at approximately 7p.m. - after the raft race.

You can support us by sponsoring a duck for £1 and you could win £50 (1st prize), £25 (2nd prize) or £15 (3rd prize).

'Teas in the Park'

For the last few years we have organised a Festival Café at the Neilson Park Fun Day which, thanks to your support, has been a great success with the Community and in raising funds for the school.

We have been asked to organise catering at the Fun Day again this year and we will also be having a cake and candy stall. We will again need your support to make this venture a success.

If you can supply baking or give some time on the day – even one hour – please complete the form (click here) and return it to Mrs Ball, Knox Academy. Our busiest time is in the afternoon to serve refreshments and clear tables (2-4pm). If you can manage the tidying up slot of 4–5pm your help will be greatly appreciated!

A group of twenty teachers and S6 pupils from Knox Academy will be running in this year’s Edinburgh Marathon Festival to raise funds for Edinburgh’s Sick Kids Friends Foundation.

Team Knox aims to raise £4000 for this worthy cause.

To help us achieve this we have organised a Race Night and Disco to be held at Haddington Golf Club on Sat 17th May and we would like to invite you to join us. Tickets are £5 .  We hope  you can support our school by attending this night and spreading the word among friends.

If you are a local business owner then you may also be interested in supporting our fundraising efforts in one of the following ways:

  • Sponsor one of our eight races.  For only £25 we will advertise your business on the night - your name will be on our race programmes and your business cards will be on tables.
  • Donate a raffle or auction prize. This is another opportunity to promote your business while supporting a worthy cause.

If you can help then just contact Margaret Maxwell or Lynn Adam at Knox Academy by telephone 01620 823387, email, or you can buy tickets at Haddington Golf Club or the China Garden.

We hope to see many of you at our Race Night and Disco!

With thanks from Team Knox
