On Wednesday 21st November Joshua Nisbet and Ashleigh Lawson traveled through to Scotstoun in Glasgow to swim in the Scottish Junior Championships. They had a fantastic time against some fierce competition.  Joshua got through to the final of the 25metres Back Crawl and did a personal best of 31.84secs.  This was not enough to bring back a medal but an excellent effort for Joshua.  Ashleigh was in the final of the 25 metres front crawl and was piped at the post for a medal in this race.  Joshua tried hard in the final of the 50metres front crawl but the competition was very hard. It was a long day for them but they enjoyed the experience and maybe next year we will bring back some medals.

The teams of two S4 pupils had 90 minutes to prepare a two-course meal based on local ingredients, working under the scrutiny of a team of judges.

The main course featured seafood as its primary component and the dessert was based on seasonal fruit.
